FBI: Man in Texas suspected of plotting terror attacks in U.S. and Europe is believed to be an al Qaeda recruiter, FBI says
FBI agents in Texas are investigating a man who they said is suspected of planning to use a vehicle to bomb the U.N. headquarters in New York and the European Union’s headquarters in Brussels, a U.K. counterterrorism official told CNN.

National Security Agency, identified the man by name in a news release on Friday.
The suspect was in contact with al Qaeda and was also planning a “terrorist attack on U.s. soil,” according to the statement.
The FBI said the man was “a person of interest” to the bureau.FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge Steve Warren said the bureau was looking into whether the man had traveled to the United States and “to the extent that he has ties to al Qaeda.”
Warren said the suspect was last seen in a vehicle on Friday morning near the intersection of Interstate 10 and Interstate 45.
Warren said that he did not know whether the vehicle was carrying a person or cargo.
